The Ghanaian Movie industry parades a good number of actors who have made their marks in the movie industry.below are  the most sought after actors in Ghollywood.

KOFI ADJORORLO
You can call him an old soldier but old soldiers they say never die.Kofi Adjorlolo is in his 50s but this  veteran Ghanaian actor is still on top of his game in the make belive industry. His unique personality and unequalled ability to deliver roles has made him Ghana’s most famous actor..Tall and dark complexioned with a large body frame that depicts an evidence of wealthy living,Kofi suits perfectly for the signature role he exclusively plays in movies ,the role of a rich don.Born into the family of  Mr Johnny Adjorlolo and Madam Matilda Johnson , Kofi hails from Keta in Ghana where he had his early education at AME Zion School, Keta Secondary School and later proceede to Ebenezer Secondary School where he had his sixth form education. From being a common civil servant earning a meager salary at GBC, to working as a radio presenter from 5am to 5pm, Koffi became a professional musician playing with a number of bands including that of Nigeria’s Victor Uwaifo of Joromi fame. He later got an offer from the current Ambassador to Benin, Mr E. K. Adu to assist in the establishment of another radio station, now Channel R where he started enjoying popularity in the movie industry as an actorIn total, Adjorlolo has featured in about 60 movies within the last six years. These  include Ghanaian titles such as God Loves Prostitutes, Mummy’s Daughter, My Mother’s Heart, Official Prostitutes and Ghana-Nigeria collaborations such as My First Experience, Golden Adventure and Power of the Gods, among several others.Irrespectiveof his age, he still holds sway as one of the most sought after Ghana actors.He has played alongside renowned actors like Ini Edo, Genevieve Nnaji, Patience Ozorkor, Ramsey Nouah, Emeka Ike, Olu Jacobs and Nkem Owoh aka Osuofia.

KOJO DADSON
Kojo Dadson is another movie icon in Ghollywood.He is presently a key actor in Ghana’s most popular tv series “Home Sweet Home’’running in different tv channels all over Africa.He is renowned for his comic nature which he reflects in some of his movie roles and that has earned him the slogan of Ghana’s “most hilarious act” as he is popularly known..He owns an acting and music school called BG Talent Institute  in Accra.The ace actor, Kojo Dadson who featured in the international award-winning movie Run Baby Run, ‘Hotel St. James’ including movies like ‘Love Brews In African Pot,’ has come out with a musical album titled ‘Who Is Ghana?’He was born to the family of late Mr. E.K Dadson and Mrs. Beatrice Dadson at Tarkwa. His father was a politician turned businessman who established a company by name Ocean Fisheries in Tema. He was the second out of 7 siblings.He became popular on the screen through a T.V series called Kotokoraba Street produced by Village Communications.Due to his passion for acting and the desire toraise the standard of actors in the country ,he one of the best film institutes in Ghana, BG Institute, .The institute trains people in film acting and also  singing, dancing and modeling.

ECOW SMITH ASANTE
Dark and handsome Ghana actor Ecow smith Asante  is one of trail blazers in the Ghana movie industry.Ecow’s charming looks and charisma has made him the favourite of Ghana actresses who always love to starr alongside the playboy actor .A native of Mampong,Ecow started his journey into the movie industry with minor roles on TV shows such as Sun City and in movies, until his big break came in 2003 when he landed the lead role in a top Ghana movie Super Stars, a movie which also featured the late renowned Ghana actress Suzzie Williams. Ecow has since found himself collaborating with Nigerian artistes and has  featured in movies such as Brave Souls, Royal Battle, Pretty queen among several others.Ecow is the last of four children born to Squadron Leader (rtd) Alex Smith-Asante and Mrs Evelyn Smith-Asante. He had his early education at the Services Primary in Takoradi and Forces Primary in Kumasi before proceeding to Ghanatta Secondary School and later to Presbyterian Training College.With a back ground trainng from the late Samuel Ansong Manu, the patron of freelance players, a drama group in Accra, and an educational training from the school of performing arts Legon, Ecow-Smith Asante certainly has no choice than to be one of the country`s best actors. Ecow-Smith Asante holds a diploma with distinction in drama and a bachelor of fine arts degree in Theatre management. It therefore comes as no surprise that he is making it exceptionally good in the acting arena , with his rich qualification.He is  a great talent spiced with professionalism. His acting versatility has led him to feature in over 60productions, both stage and screen.

JOHN DUMELO

John Dumelo is the latest sensation in the Ghana movie industry.The Tall and goodlooking actor is presently one of the most sought after stars in both the Nigerian and Ghana movie industry,this is as a result of  his captivating personality and expertise in role delivery.Aprominent film star in Ghana,the 28-year-old actor is fast becoming a household name in the movie industry.The debonair gentleman came to limelight with his role in the popular Ghana tv series About to wed.John Setor Dumelo was born on the 3rd of February 1984, the last born to two sisters. He had his pre-school education at Christ the king international and then to Achimota senior high school after which he read civil engineering at KNUST. He is currently the CEO of Bale and Lancershire, a real estate company.  Though a science oriented person, his talent and love for acting has earned him the admiration of fans from different parts of the world..However ,his break came when he featured in the blockbuster movie The king is mine and ever since, he has been soaring high in his acting career, featuring in both Ghollywood and Nollywood movies .He is a Civil Engineering graduate of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Tech .,Ghana and presently ranks as one of Ghana’s highest paid actors.

CHRIS ATTOH
This multi- talented TV personality has steadily risen into stardom to become one of the finest and most promising actors Africa can boost of. Chris describes himself as a young entrepreneur, whose key objective is to continually strive to put Ghana’s name on the entertainment map worldwide. Aside hosting TV productions: ‘Stars of the Future’ and ‘Rhythms’, Chris is currently starring in Mnet’s production, Tinsel, which is the first multi camera soap to be done in West Africa, specifically Nigeria. His acting career begun when his role model in the industruy, Kwaku Sintim-Misa (KSM) featured  him  in a TV series called ‘Choices’. However, the production could not come out, because the sponsors pulled out after filming about sixteen episodes. Having seen the potential in him, KSM invited him again to play a lead role in ‘Divorce Court’, another TV series. “. After that stint in acting, he got lots of encouragement which made him to take the profession more seriously and today, he is one of Ghana best acts .  Chris who just turned thirty, was born and bred in Accra. He attended Achimota School and Accra Academy for his O’level and A’level education and then to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology where he graduated with a Bachelor of Art degree.

VAN VICKER
Born to a Ghanaian-Liberian mother and a Dutch father,Van took the Ghana movie industry by  storm few years ago when he came into the industry as he made headlines not just for his acting skills but also his drop dead gorgeous looks. The young and talented actorstarted out in the entertainment world in radio and as a television personality for Metropolitan Television (Metro TV). In 2003, Vicker appeared in the Ghanaian television series,Suncity, and  based on the strength of his performance, Van has been consistently cast in leading romantic roles thereafter. When thinking of a male romantic lead actor in the film industry of Ghana, Africa, Van Vicker quickly comes to mind. He has become a household name in the  Ghanaian film industry. At first glance of this unstoppable actor, be it in films or real life, one can only be amazed by the beauty God has created. But don’t be fooled by the physical attributes of this son of the land, he is equally talented with intelligence and admirable diction. MAJID MICHEL
Majid Michel is another rave of the moment in Ghollywood. Majid began his acting career when he snug a role as “Shaker” in the theatrically successful TV series “Things We Do for Love.” Following his success, Majid made a smooth transition to the big screen when he appeared in his first movie “Divine Love,” alongside Jackie Appiah, and Van Vicker. On the heels of the success of his first, Majid has starred in one hit movie after another.However, what makes Majid unique and set him apart is his versatility as an actor. Majid is known for his ability to embody his character and his penchant for taking on challenging roles. His first adventure in the the industry was his remarkable role in a soap Thing We Do for Love.The flick became a success and propelled Majid into the mainstream. David Osei came into the movie industry  after he bagged a Degree from the University of Ghana in 2007 .The dark complexioned actor who hails from Ashanti region of Ghana stole the heart of movie lovers  after his outstanding performance in the award winning movie  Heart of Men. However, this young  talent is gradually sailing into greater heights as he has made the biggest breakthrough of his career by co-starring in a Hollywood horror movie, ‘The Dead’ a movie which will soon be premiered across some of the world’s biggest cinemas and film festivals in countries like United States,UK and Ghana.Prince has stared in over a dozen of movies including ‘In the Eyes of my Husband’, ‘Passion and Soul’, ‘Agony of the Christ’, ‘Dons of Sakawa’, ‘Shakira’, ‘Heart of Men’ and ‘Kiss Me If You Can’.

Handsome and trendy Ghanaian actor adjety also known as pusher is one of the fast rising actors in Ghollywood.The young and talented actor recently clinched the award of Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for his exceptional role in  award winning movie ‘Perfect Picture’. at the  recently held AMA award .He is one of the stars to look out for in the industry as the promising actor is determined to make a huge impact in the industry.He  has also featured in other flicks alongside renowned movie artistes.
FRED NUAMAH
Fred is one of the new movie artists in Gholly wood.The talented arstist has been in the entertainment industry for quite a while as he is the producer of popular Ghanaian high life singer, Daasebre Dwamena, .However, he has opened a new chapter in his career.He started his career 16 years ago as a radio presenter and marketing executive on Volta Premier Radio before moving to Volta Star Radio.He is also a producer and has featured in movies such as prince’s bride and others.
