The breast is an attractive part of a female body but most importantly, it’s vital for nurturing a baby. It is the tissue overlying the chest (pectoral) muscles, which produces milk (glandular tissue) as well as fatty tissue. The amount of fat determines the size of the breast. The milk-producing part of the breast is organized into 15 to 20 sections, called lobes. Within each lobe are smaller structures, called lobules, where milk is produced. The milk travels through a network of tiny tubes called ducts. The ducts connect and come together into larger ducts, which eventually exit the skin in the nipple. The dark area of skin surrounding the nipple is called the areola. Connective tissue and ligaments provide support to the breast and give it its shape. Nerves provide sensation to the breast. The breast also contains blood vessels, lymph vessels, and lymph nodes. However, the beauty of the breast is determined by how firm it is and although women’s breast sag as they get older, due to stretching of the Cooper’s ligaments, the connective tissue in your breasts that helps keep the breast firm. Like all the tissue in your body, they’re made up of collagen and elastin, which break down as you age. However, some common habits can lead to saggy breasts especially very young ladies in their 20s. They include:

A lot of young girls are under the false impression that wearing a bra throughout the day and night will help keep the breasts from sagging. On the contrary, an excess of external support allows the pectoral muscles to weaken and actually speed up the drooping process. Research reveals that wearing a bra encourages sagging by weakening the breast’s supporting tissue. The women that are going braless are having higher lift, nipples in lifted position in a relation to shoulders, than the women that are wearing bras. The research has proven that wearing bra prevents certain muscles from growing which are holding the breasts up and might be a reason for accelerated breast sagging.

Another common factor that leads to saggy breasts in the habit of gaining and losing weight. It is common in women that diet to lose weight in breasts first, and if the weight loss is occurring too fast or multiple times, it could take toll on breasts. This is because the area on and around the breasts is relatively thin and prone to stretching. Women who struggle with weight loss and subject the skin to a lot of stretching and shrinking can hasten sagging. Also, since the breasts are composed mainly of fat, sudden weight loss can reduce the amount of tissue and cause skin that was normally lifted outward to suddenly droop. In this category also comes pregnancy, although many believe that breast feeding leads to sagging, on the contrary research reveals that it is not actually the breast feeding that causes sagging but the pregnancy itself. This is because, a lady gains a lot of weight during pregnancy which can cause ligaments to stretch, and it drops after you shed the pregnancy weight, making the breast to sag.

The Craze for staying fit these among young girls is on the increase but many make the mistake of not wearing a good sport bra when heading to the gym. The High-impact sports and cardiovascular exercise such as running and aerobics can contribute to a loss of elasticity. The breasts are supported by ligaments, and the stress the tissue undergoes during vigorous exercise can cause decrease in resilience that gives way to gravity. A good sports bra should helps cut the movement of the breasts in half during strenuous activity, firmly strap the boobs for little elasticity during exercise, making it not to stretch more than an inch from the skin when pulled.

Even though the breasts themselves are not muscular, reinforcing the pectorals around them can help reduce sagging. Lack of exercise makes the breast to sag faster among young ladies. Exercises such as plank push-ups help strengthen the muscles and increase support, and using weight machines in a gym that target the chest will build up the pectoral muscles.

Not only does smoking wreak havoc on the lungs, skin and cardiovascular system, but it accelerates the weakening of ligaments and collagen. Smoking is aging the skin all over and is causing breast sagging by breaking up the collagen of the skin. It causes skin dehydration, loss of flexibility and elasticity as well as a loss of brightness and it decreases collagen production. This translates into premature aging which is visible in all areas of the body, including the breasts, which can fall more easily and have more wrinkles.

Most ladies love to flaunt their cleavage but not many know it leads to sagging of the breast if exposed to sunlight without some sunblock; this is because the UV ray stretches the skin’s collagen. This is leading to breasts sag, as well as wrinkles. If you are the kind of lady who loves to bare it all, always try to wear sun block before stepping out.

When you come across most ladies who love to “chest out”, don’t make fun of them because it helps to keep the breast firm and pointed. Bad sitting or walking posture is harmful to the firmness of your. If you usually walk hunchback or when you’re sitting you tilt forward, it is important that you correct these positions so your breasts can look more raised. Try to maintain a proper walking posture with a back straight and your head straight wherever you go. And when you’re sitting down, place your back against the back of the chair.

Hardly will you see a bleached young lady with a firm breast and this is due to the harsh chemicals contained in some whitening creams. It is very obvious that a lot of young girls are now hooked to skin whitening products and some of these harsh chemicals contained in such products reduce the skins elasticity.

A lot of young ladies now patronise different boob’s enlargement products that have flooded the market. However, the larger and denser breast weighs more than a small breast and experience drop faster due to gravity.
